Founder of the clinic, Eric Yue, has been a teaching clinician and medical practitioner for over 15 years. ABOUT ANDRE RIEHL

Hatha Yoga

Hatha Yoga at Anatomy of Arts teaches the classic yoga postures through a deep awareness of correct alignment and precise actions in the body.

Highly therapeutic, this technique helps to refine your poses while it trains the mind to remain alert, focused and composed.

This class is intended to help you get yoga in your body and to learn the language of yoga.

Poses are held for an extended period of time with the use of props for proper alignment. Don’t let the name fool you, you will sweat and work hard.

Vinyasa Flow Yoga

Vinyasa Flow at Anatomy of Arts are lively, energetic, flowing classes synchronizing breath with movement. Build strength, flexibility and concentration. Cleanse the body and calm the mind. Vinyasa classes do not follow a set sequence of postures. Each class is unique and will vary from teacher to teacher. You can always expect a great cardiovascular and strength building workout combined with breath work (pranayama).

The term “Vinyasa” is a Sanskrit word used to define breath linked with movement.

Pilates Contrology (Mat Series)

Mat Pilates at Anatomy of Arts focuses on developing core strength, flexibility, balance, and stamina. The instructor presents the exercises at multiple levels which allows students to choose to work at a beginning, intermediate, or or even advanced pace.

the SILENT GROUND® is a community space. A place for experienced practitioners and our 300TTC students to improve their sadhana (yoga, meditation, pranayama) in an atmosphere that induces a natural peace of mind.

Experienced practitioners and teachers will find a common space for them to retreat from the distractions of their daily life enabling their practice to grow and share their energy with fellow practitioners.

the Breathwork®

Our body breathes on autopilot, yet the power of breath can be elusive to many of us.

Often times we diminished our capacity for breathing so thoroughly that we are only using the very top of the lungs – just barely getting by. However, when mastered, it is one of the most powerful tools at our disposal.

BreathWork is a class dedicated to breathing practice. Whether you want to destress, have deep relaxation, being more balanced or have an energy boost, there is a practice for you. In this class uniquely designed and led by our instructor with a freediving background, we learn how to breathe properly to strengthen our respiratory muscles, improve breathing habits, get rid of unnecessary stress while enjoying a deep relaxation and energy boosting to its maximum.

CONTRAINDICATIONS:
Cardiovascular problems, high or abnormal blood pressure, history of aneurisms, epilepsy or history of seizures, anyone on heavy medication, severe psychiatric symptoms (particularly psychosis or paranoia), bipolar depression, osteoporosis, recent surgery, glaucoma. pregnancy, an active addiction, any person with mental illness who isn’t in treatment or lacks adequate support, anyone experiencing an emotional or spiritual crisis.

Ashtanga Mysore & Led Program

At the Ashtanga Mysore program at Anatomy of Arts, students will learn the poses of the Ashtanga Primary Series broken down into step-by-step instructions to develop a solid foundation for their own practice.

A full mind-body experience, flowing ujjayi breath with standing, sitting, and balancing postures, this classes will help experienced students perfect their postures and give new students an in-depth introduction to a cherished yoga tradition.

Led Ashtanga classes are designed for students who have an existing Mysore style practice to learn the proper vinyasa count. This classes are often led on a fast paced rhythm, with the aim of improving asana sequence performance.

*It is not designed as a method for learning the Ashtanga sequence, as the most conducive way to learn is in a Mysore program.

If you live in a modern world where mobile and screen interactions, long sitting or standing hours and repetitive strains are part of your daily life, you might be prone to develop postural syndromes and an array of stiffnesses and discomforts that can lead to overall mobility and functionality issues down the road.

This curated class focuses on the main areas where stiffness can cause functional and biomechanical problems (spine, shoulders and hips) to restore their mobility and allow us to move in a more efficient and unrestricted way.

This class was originally curated to improve rock climbers and other athletes postural and mobility issues and is recommended for anyone that practices any sort of sports and is looking for a more scientific approach of their mobility issues.

Yoga Kurunta (Iyengar Wall Rope)

Yoga Kurunta is a series of Iyengar style asanas practiced with aid of ropes on a wall, translating to mean puppet or doll made of wood.

The wall-rope was first developed and refined by the late B.K.S. Iyengar, originating in the ordinary Indian home or dwelling.

Rope poses are especially beneficial for spine health through use of traction to relieve pressure from compressed vertebral discs. They can also be used to create deep opening in the organic body, which nourishes the organs, soothes the nerves, and quiets the mind.

Yin Yang Yoga

This classic class unifies the benefits of dynamic and flow classes with slow meditative poses combining breathing techniques and Kriyas to awaken the vital energy. The class will transition into a heated yang flow to open the psychic channels concluding with a long deep relaxation to reset our autonomous nervous system.

Yoga Therapy (1 on 1)

By merging the ancient healing qualities of Yoga
and Ayurveda, Yoga therapy addresses many aspects of health and wellness of the body, mind and heart.

Due to its unique assessment methods and appliance, Yoga Therapy can successfully address a wide range of conditions, such as chronic illness, back pain, sleep disorders, digestive disorders, anxiety, depression, injury recovery, as well as manage other complex issues.

Usually classes will be delivered to a reduced number of students looking to address similar issues or on a one on one customized session for particular illnesses complementing with other therapeutic disciplines and dieting.

Studio Pilates (1 on 1)

Studio Pilates at Anatomy of Arts focuses on developing core strength, flexibility, balance, and stamina. Using classical apparatus such as the Cadillac, the Reformer or WUNDER chair, our experienced, fully certified instructors will guide you through each session with your specific goals in mind. Students learn to be aware of breathing patterns and spinal alignment while engaging the deep muscles of the core and push your strength limits, the class is also good for improved posture goals, pre/post-natal recovery and rehabilitation. No previous pilates experience is necessary to join a Studio Pilates class.

Prenatal Yoga

Prenatal Yoga at Anatomy of Arts will provide safe and beneficial yoga postures for the pregnant woman, with emphasis on adapting your yoga practice throughout pregnancy.

This class helps to improve common issues like back pain, headache, heaviness, numbness of legs, pulling of muscles, shortness of breaths, excessive weight gain and swelling of joints.

Specially designed labor breathing technique will help you to ease the pain during ‘the moment’ and to give a smooth journey to your new child.

We will create a lovely community of new moms to celebrate this beautiful experience together.

Postnatal Yoga

This class helps you to tone the muscles that have been compromised during pregnancy and regain the strength to handle the intensive demands of your new born.

Developing a core strength to prevent the separation of abdominal wall, maintaining spinal integrity to keep your lower back strong to support endless pick up of baby, stretch shoulder and open heart postures to correct rounded upper body from breastfeeding, and hip adjustment to balance the changes during the labor.

Post Natal Pilates

This class is appropriate from 4-6 weeks postpartum

If you are dealing with: leaking, laughing- sneezing- coughing- jumping- running caused leaking, increase of frequency and urgency, pelvic pain, pressure by heaviness, frustration with your performance etc… you need to start looking at the pelvic floor muscles as a root cause and re-train them to work correctly through the practice of postnatal Pilates.

This class is open to all moms that have given birth recently and already have a good understanding of proper breathing and abdominal muscle engagement after natural labour, or 6 weeks from cesarean section.

It is also recommended to those who have given birth a long time ago but have never experienced pelvic floor re-education.

Mindfulness for Kids (Yoga & Meditation)
