Nidrâ Yoga, a traditional approach of knowledge based on deep relaxation and tension-free concentration.

BREATHING & ASANA TECHNIQUE


This program is ideal for those ashtanga practitioners who are already established on a Mysore program format.

It will be held with the pure intention of cross-bordering Mysore communities in Shanghai. The morning hours will be held in open collaboration between Laruga Glaser and Margaret Chiu as well as the evening panel discussion. Pranayama is a practice of breath/energy control. This ancient yogic science implies the alteration of the breath in order to produce specific results.

Being energized, balanced and relaxed is the main focus of the techniques, which in turn, will prepare the body and the mind of the practitioners to enter a meditative state.

In this cumulative process, the students will be led through simple yet very effective meditation exercises to raise awareness over this estate.

Hatha Yoga

Hatha Yoga at Anatomy of Arts teaches the classic yoga postures through a deep awareness of correct alignment and precise actions in the body.

Highly therapeutic, this technique helps to refine your poses while it trains the mind to remain alert, focused and composed.

This class is intended to help you get yoga in your body and to learn the language of yoga.

Poses are held for an extended period of time with the use of props for proper alignment. Don’t let the name fool you, you will sweat and work hard.

Vinyasa Flow Yoga

Vinyasa Flow at Anatomy of Arts are lively, energetic, flowing classes synchronizing breath with movement. Build strength, flexibility and concentration. Cleanse the body and calm the mind. Vinyasa classes do not follow a set sequence of postures. Each class is unique and will vary from teacher to teacher. You can always expect a great cardiovascular and strength building workout combined with breath work (pranayama).

The term “Vinyasa” is a Sanskrit word used to define breath linked with movement.

Pilates Contrology (Mat Series)

Mat Pilates at Anatomy of Arts focuses on developing core strength, flexibility, balance, and stamina. The instructor presents the exercises at multiple levels which allows students to choose to work at a beginning, intermediate, or or even advanced pace.

Students learn to be aware of breathing patterns and spinal alignment while engaging the deep muscles of the core.

the SILENT GROUND is a community space. A place for experienced practitioners and our 300TTC students to improve their sadhana (yoga, meditation, pranayama) in an atmosphere that induces a natural peace of mind.

Experienced practitioners and teachers will find a common space for them to retreat from the distractions of their daily life enabling their practice to grow and share their energy with fellow practitioners.

Ashtanga Mysore & Led Program

At the Ashtanga Mysore program at Anatomy of Arts, students will learn the poses of the Ashtanga Primary Series broken down into step-by-step instructions to develop a solid foundation for their own practice.


A full mind-body experience, flowing ujjayi breath with standing, sitting, and balancing postures, this classes will help experienced students perfect their postures and give new students an in-depth introduction to a cherished yoga tradition.

Led Ashtanga classes are designed for students who have an existing Mysore style practice to learn the proper vinyasa count. This classes are often led on a fast paced rhythm, with the aim of improving asana sequence performance.

*It is not designed as a method for learning the Ashtanga sequence, as the most conducive way to learn is in a Mysore program.

Power Flow Yoga

Power Flow Yoga combines the yogic focus on enhanced mind and body awareness, strength, stamina, flexibility and balance, with Pilates techniques to improve posture and create a strong, stable foundation for movement.

Power Flow Yoga is believed to be particularly effective for improving muscle tone, developing a slimmer, stronger physique and even weight loss.

It creates a unique combination of dynamic breathing and strong, flowing movement, which creates a high-heat, high-energy workout.

Yoga Kurunta (Iyengar Wall Rope)

Yoga Kurunta is a series of Iyengar style asanas practiced with aid of ropes on a wall, translating to mean puppet or doll made of wood.

Therapeutic Alignment Vinyasa (TAV)

Therapeutic Alignment Vinyasa is the blend of the tradition of yoga and a fascial approach to the practice.

The integration of yoga principles and human structural and bio-mechanical principles. This system is based on 10 guidelines that create spinal awareness and ground control. In TAV we do a pre-asana practice to actively relax superficial tension and awaken the postural muscles, restoring mobility within the spine, followed by a vinyasa practice. TAV seeks to provide students with an understanding of “how” and “why” yoga postures work, with an emphasis on muscular balance and integrity over aesthetics.

We learn to use gravity as a healing force and make yoga a profound tool for transformation.

Body Opening

Restorative Yoga at Anatomy of Arts focuses on relaxing the body in restful postures.

Look at restorative yoga poses as “active relaxation”. By supporting the body with props, we alternately stimulate and relax the body to move toward balance. Some poses have an overall benefit. Others target an individual part, such as the lungs or heart. All create specific physiological responses which are beneficial to health and can reduce the effects of stress-related disease.

In general, restorative poses are for those times when you feel weak, fatigued, or stressed from your daily activities. They are especially beneficial for the times before, during, and after major life events: death of a loved one, change of job or residence, marriage, divorce, major holidays, and vacations. In addition, you can practice the poses when ill, or recovering from illness or injury.

Yin Yoga

Yin yoga is a slow-paced style of yoga with postures, or asanas, that are held for longer periods of time —for beginners, it may range from 45 seconds to two minutes; more advanced practitioners may stay in one asana for five minutes or more.

Yin yoga poses apply moderate stress to the connective tissues of the body—the tendons, fascia, and ligaments—with the aim of increasing circulation in the joints and improving flexibility. A more meditative approach to yoga, yin aims at cultivating awareness of inner silence, and bringing to light a universal, interconnecting quality.

MyoRelease (Therapeutic Bodywork Flow)

MyoRelease class at the clinic’s purpose is to help you learn and acquire easy habits for the regular self maintenance of your body. Designed by our clinical and medical team that work with olympic and high performance athletes, we will go through self myofascial, massage and stretching techniques. You will have a better understanding and feeling of your body as you learn to release muskuloskeletal tension and apply effective techniques which will bring balance and ease into your body.

It will help you get rid of minor and/or chronic pain, stress, help you expand your breath, improve your digestion and overall circulation targeted to increase your physical performance and prevent injuries cause by repetitive strain and bad postural habits.

Yoga Therapy (1 on 1)

Prenatal Yoga

Prenatal Yoga at Anatomy of Arts will provide safe and beneficial yoga postures for the pregnant woman, with emphasis on adapting your yoga practice throughout pregnancy.


This class helps to improve common issues like back pain, headache, heaviness, numbness of legs, pulling of muscles, shortness of breaths, excessive weight gain and swelling of joints.

Specially designed labor breathing technique will help you to ease the pain during ‘the moment’ and to give a smooth journey to your new child.

We will create a lovely community of new moms to celebrate this beautiful experience together.

Post Natal Pilates

This class helps you to tone the muscles that have been compromised during pregnancy and regain the strength to handle the intensive demands of your new born.

New moms will develop a core strength to prevent the separation of abdominal wall, maintaining spinal integrity to keep your lower back strong to support endless pick up of baby, stretch shoulder and open heart postures to correct rounded upper body from breastfeeding, and make hip adjustment to balance the changes during the labor.

With therapeutic breathing exercise, you’ll nourish your body from sleepless nights and cultivate a patience to handle the intensive first months as a new mom or experienced mothers.

It is a great gift to reconnect to “Me, Myself & I” when you have almost no time to take care of yourself.
